Small-Batch Manufacturing.

Need more than a one-off prototype, but not a full-scale production run? Explore short-run manufacturing for custom products, components and specialist parts with Wish Factoree.

We assess your design, quantity, intended application and production requirements before confirming feasibility and pricing.

Production Options

Flexible quantities for practical business needs.

Small-run production can help you test demand, fulfil specialist orders or prepare limited quantities without committing to mass production.

01

Short Production Runs

Discuss limited quantities of a defined design when a large production commitment is not appropriate.

02

Prototype-to-Production

Move from a reviewed sample to a proposed batch after confirming design, fit and intended use.

03

Custom Product Runs

Explore small runs of personalised, niche or made-to-order items subject to design and production feasibility.

04

Components & Accessories

Assess custom housings, brackets, holders, adapters and other non-safety-critical components.

05

Repeat Orders

Discuss repeat production using an approved design and documented specifications, subject to capacity and material availability.

06

Design Iteration

Review changes between sample and batch production. Additional engineering, revisions or test pieces may require separate quotation.

Is It a Good Fit?

Know what to confirm before producing a batch.

Small-batch 3D printing may suit geometrically complex parts, custom shapes, low-volume accessories and products that benefit from design flexibility.

  • Demand is limited or still being validated
  • Tooling for a larger manufacturing process may not yet be justified
  • Product dimensions or design may change between versions
  • You need a defined quantity for a project or launch

What affects the quotation?

  • Quantity and part size
  • Material and colour requirements
  • Geometry, detail and print time
  • CAD preparation and design changes
  • Post-processing, assembly or finishing
  • Inspection, packaging and delivery requirements

Production methods, material choices, tolerances and quantities are confirmed individually. Not every project is suitable for 3D printing.

From Brief to Batch

Make the production decision with clarity.

01. Brief

Share your design, target quantity, intended use and any critical dimensions.

02. Feasibility

We assess whether the requested part and quantity appear suitable for the proposed production approach.

03. Quote & Approve

Review the agreed scope, costs, assumptions, sample needs and estimated schedule before proceeding.

04. Produce

Proceed with the approved specification. Changes after approval may affect cost and timing.

Files & Specifications

Have a CAD file? Great. Still at concept stage? Start there.

Useful formats may include STL, 3MF, OBJ, STEP and STP. Compatibility depends on the file and workflow. If you have no model, send photos, sketches and measurements to discuss the next step.

Before confirming production

  • Approve the final design and quantity
  • Confirm material and colour where available
  • Identify critical dimensions and fit requirements
  • Discuss sample inspection or acceptance criteria
  • Confirm the quotation and estimated schedule in writing
Let’s Review Your Run

Share the part. Tell us the quantity.

Send your files or reference photos along with your target quantity and intended use. We’ll assess whether the project is suitable and what information is needed for a quotation.

A quotation or production commitment is provided only after the project requirements have been reviewed and confirmed.

FAQs

Small-batch production questions.

What is the minimum order quantity?

It depends on the design, setup work, production method and project economics. Share your desired quantity and we’ll assess whether it is practical.

Can you manufacture a product from my CAD file?

We can review compatible files for potential production. The file must be assessed for geometry, dimensions, printability and intended use before acceptance.

Will every unit be exactly identical?

Production variation can occur. If dimensions or appearance are critical, identify acceptance tolerances and inspection requirements before the quotation is finalised.

Can you guarantee a delivery date before reviewing the project?

No. An estimated schedule depends on design readiness, quantity, material availability, workload and delivery arrangements. Timing should be confirmed in the quotation or order confirmation.

Can you produce safety-critical or load-bearing components?

Such applications require appropriate engineering, material validation and testing. Do not assume that a standard 3D-printed component is suitable for safety-critical service.
