Hard-to-find parts. Made to fit your needs.
Need a replacement plastic component that is difficult to source? Wish Factoree helps assess custom 3D-printed parts from reference photos, measurements, sketches or existing design files.
Explore options for the part you need.
Every component is different. We review its geometry, intended use, material needs and operating conditions before recommending a suitable design and manufacturing approach.
Hard-to-Find Plastic Parts
Explore replacement options for discontinued, difficult-to-source or unavailable non-critical plastic components.
Broken Part Recreation
Use an existing part or its fragments as a reference for a new model, subject to sufficient information and feasibility.
Custom Brackets & Mounts
Develop brackets, holders, spacers, covers and mounting pieces for suitable applications.
Enclosures & Covers
Assess custom housings, protective covers, caps and panels based on your dimensions and design requirements.
Clips, Knobs & Adapters
Explore custom clips, knobs, adapters and similar small components where the required properties are achievable.
Repeat and Small-Batch Orders
Discuss repeat production for approved designs, subject to material suitability, repeatability and capacity.
A replacement should suit the job, not just the shape.
A visually similar component may not have the strength, flexibility, heat resistance, wear characteristics or dimensional accuracy required for its intended application.
- Review the original part and its available dimensions.
- Understand how the component fits and operates.
- Discuss expected loads, movement, temperature and environment.
- Consider material and manufacturing limitations.
- Identify when professional engineering validation is needed.
We assess each enquiry individually. Suitability and achievable tolerances must be confirmed for the specific part and process.
Support for workshops, businesses and makers.
Share the original part, the equipment it belongs to and how it is used. We’ll assess whether a custom-manufactured replacement is appropriate.
Workshop Accessories
Non-critical holders, organisers, guides and custom workshop accessories.
Product Enclosures
Suitable covers, housings, panels and non-critical plastic casings.
Home & Office Items
Replacement knobs, clips, brackets and small plastic accessories for everyday items.
Business Equipment
Custom accessories or non-critical plastic pieces used in business equipment.
Product Development
Replacement concepts and design iterations for prototypes and development projects.
Legacy Components
Assess whether a discontinued non-critical part can be recreated from a sample or available drawings.
From your old part to a proposed replacement.
We establish the requirements first, then confirm feasibility, pricing and the agreed deliverable before production.
Share Details
Send photos, measurements, a sketch or a digital file of the original component.
Assess Feasibility
We review geometry, intended use, material requirements and any missing information.
Confirm the Quote
Agree on scope, price, expected timing and any prototype or fit-check stage.
Produce & Review
We complete the agreed work and discuss any next steps based on the result.
What should you send with your enquiry?
Good reference information helps us understand the component and determine whether it can be recreated. You do not need to have every detail before making an enquiry.
- Photos from multiple angles with a ruler or scale reference.
- Overall length, width, height and important hole dimensions.
- Photos of how the part connects to the surrounding assembly.
- The equipment or product in which it is used.
- Expected quantity and intended operating conditions.
- Any existing CAD file, technical drawing or manufacturer reference.
Already have a 3D model or drawing?
Send the file format and any relevant specifications when you enquire. We will confirm whether the file can be used for your requested project.
Some parts require specialist manufacturing.
3D printing is not suitable for every replacement application. Unless specifically assessed, validated and agreed in writing, do not rely on a custom-printed part for safety-critical, medical, load-bearing, vehicle braking or steering, electrical safety, gas-pressure, high-temperature or other hazardous applications.
A recreated part may look similar to the original without matching its certified material properties, fatigue life or performance. Any required testing, certification or professional engineering review must be established separately.
Show us the part you need.
Tell us what broke, what is missing or what needs to be recreated. Include the intended use, approximate dimensions and quantity where possible.
- Describe the part and the product or equipment it belongs to.
- Share reference images or dimensions.
- Tell us how many pieces you need.
- Mention any fit, strength, flexibility or temperature requirements.
Pricing, material selection and delivery estimates are subject to technical review and confirmation of the project scope.
Custom replacement parts FAQs.
Can you recreate a part if I don’t have its design file?
Possibly. You can start with photographs, the physical sample, measurements or a sketch. The feasibility depends on how complex the geometry is and whether enough information is available to reproduce the required features.
Can you make a replacement from a broken piece?
A broken part may provide useful reference geometry, but missing fragments, deformation or wear can make reconstruction difficult. Photos of the assembled component and any matching part can help.
Will the replacement fit exactly?
Fit depends on the accuracy of the measurements, original design, printer and material characteristics, and required tolerances. We will discuss critical dimensions and whether a trial fit or additional iteration is advisable.
Which material should I choose?
That depends on the component’s environment, temperature, flexibility, wear, load and chemical exposure. Tell us how the part will be used so the available options can be assessed.
Can you make just one replacement part?
Single-piece enquiries can be submitted. Feasibility and pricing depend on design effort, material, setup, production time and the required finish.
Can you supply a batch of replacement parts?
Small-batch requests may be possible following design and capacity review. Include your initial quantity and expected repeat-order volume in the enquiry.
Can you reproduce branded or patented parts?
You must have the rights or authorisation needed to request reproduction. We may decline projects that appear to infringe intellectual property rights or involve unlawful copying.
How do I get a price?
Send the reference material, intended use, dimensions if known and quantity. We will review the information and determine whether further details are needed before a quotation can be prepared.
Tell us about your replacement part.
Submit your project details through our business enquiry form. If you have photographs or technical files, mention them in your enquiry and we can advise on the appropriate way to share them.
